So you're probably asking yourself "So who is Yonaka and what's with this website?" Or you could be shrugging your shoulders and thinking "Who cares...". If you're on this page, you're curious.Well, my whole name is Yonaka Yamako, which is a play on words. Yonaka means midnight and Yamako means mountain woman. Rather appropriate since I do work at night and I did live in a mountainous region of Western Washington. So I'm Midnight Lady of the Mountain. Now a lot of Furres and folks have seen my name as Yamako Yonaka. There is an explanation for this. The Japanese traditionally placed the surname before the given name. So some of you have been calling me by the surname Yamako and not the given Yonaka. Really, it's Yonaka.

I'm an Artistsan/Craftsman by hobby and now a retired Consultant. I'd prefered to have made my living on my hobby, but you got to pay the bills.
I also enjoy gardening, cooking, carving, doll making, spinning, doing Living History demonstrations, and working on my cars. I just don't know of too many folks who consider rebuilding a car engine or transmission as fun, go figure.
Now, of course, folks, human and furry alike have asked for a picture. Well to tell you the truth, I'm camera shy. However, I have been caught taking a brief walk to stretch my legs and this is what they got. Sorry, my glasses were being cleaned at the time in my paws.
Scary, but true, we Vargr are among you. (Thank you Marc Miller.)
******Amazingly enough, I have an email and I actually have been known to respond to them. You can e-mail me here.

Once in a great while I have neat and nifty things I collect and it tends to clutter the desk, bookcases and the monitor of my fickle computer... Today I present: Yonaka's mystical glowing stone (A moment of awe and silence please. Ok... That's enough)
Ok. You guys can go back to doing what ever it was you were doing before.
Something else real cool and it doesn't just happen on the vernal equinox!
